Coaching Evaluation
Giving feedback can be difficult for many reasons, including time restraints or simply not knowing how to properly give it. We provide an impartial, professional approach to feedback. We have designed an approach that not only evaluates the coach, but also provides education. They will leave knowing their strengths and weaknesses, along with tips about how they can improve.
Skill Clinic
This is an opportunity to have a session to build a particular skill in your gym. We will provide an in person clinic focusing on a higher skill movement (muscle ups, handstand pushups, double under, etc.) We will show proper technique and advanced elements for those who have the movement, along with drills for those who are working toward the movement. In addition, we will provide homework that can be used after the clinic to develop the skill.
Coaches Clinic
This is an opportunity to have an entire coaching staff come together to learn. The focus of the clinic can vary greatly depending on the needs of the staff. We can cover specific coaching strategies or big picture best practices. Contact us to discuss exactly what you are looking for!
Coaching Development
This in depth program is designed to turn an average coach, into a professional coach. We come to your gym, allowing us to work on skills while the coach is in their own environment. After observing the coach run a class, we will talk over strengths and weaknesses. We then create a plan to improve on the weaker areas for the next class. A hands on approach is implemented to bring awareness and correct in the moment. A minimum of 3 classes will be coached with us there. Between/after classes, there will be guided lessons for the coach. These guided lessons can have many focuses, dependent on what the coach needs the most.
Example Day
Class 1 - We observe the coach during the entire class, learning their strengths and weakness.
Mini Session 1 - We discuss what happened in the first class. We then develop a plan for the second class to improve upon weaknesses. We also discuss and create a proper lesson plan to use for the next class.
Class 2 - A mixture of observation and hands on teaching. We will shadow the coach and point out tangible elements that can be improved upon in the moment. This can include pushing the coach to see movement faults and fix them.
Mini Session 2 - We will debrief the second class and make any adjustments that might be needed for the third class. We will then have a discussion diving deeper into the coaches weakest areas. This could be teaching how to see certain types of faults or creating a list of possible cues for different movements. It could also be working on group management skills, it is all dependent on coaching needs.
Class 3 - Largely observation to check on implementation of the days feedback.
Mini Session 3- Final debrief and creating homework for the coach so that they can continue to develop their weaker areas.
